Since 1978, Meadow Creek Outfitters has held exclusive professional hunting rights to 50 square miles of some of the most beautiful and rugged country on earth. You will be in the heart of the largest wilderness area in the United States: the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. It is home to the largest naturally surviving elk herd in the world. There are many bear and mule deer abound here, as well. You will also see some whitetails and the bucks tend to be huge. This is elk, deer and bear hunting at its very best, in one of the most productive areas of the country.
We offer both guided and non-guided (drop-camp) hunts. On the Guided Hunts we pride ourselves on our down-home cooking—good food and plenty of it. To get you going right, we start your day with a hearty breakfast. We send lunches with each hunter. If you return to camp during the day you'll find our full-time cook has a hot pot of stew or chili waiting for you, and there's always plenty of hot coffee. You can expect a hot homemede dinner every night.
With our Non Guided hunts, we drop you at camp and you're on your own. This has become a very popular way for hunters to experience the back country, quality hunting without the expense of a guided hunt.
We specialize in wilderness hunts and all U.S. wilderness areas prohibit the use of motorized equipment. That means no snowmobiles, chain saws or anything else with a motor. Yes, we cut our wood by hand. You will not encounter other outfitters here. This is your chance for a quality wilderness hunt.
